"Every single one of the characters are so realistic you can fit them with someone you know in real life"
Lincoln has just recently been hired as the security officer at the New York Times. He basically reads through peoples' emails to make sure they're not talking about something inappropriate. While he's snooping through what people thought to be private messages, he reads messages from Beth and Jennifer. Jennifer confides in Beth about her fears of having a child with her husband, and Beth... well, Beth talks about everything in her life. Lincoln finds himself wanting to be friends with Jennifer and something a little more with Beth.
This is one of my favorites. I know I say that about everything, but I'm being SERIOUS this time! I loved every single character Rainbow put into this novel. Lincoln is so pathetic and endearing and Beth and Jennifer's conversations are laugh-out-loud worthy. I just want to hug Lincoln. Seriously, every single one of the characters are so realistic you can fit them with someone you know in real life. I am a huge fan of Rainbow Rowell, and books like this one is what made me fall in love with reading.
I'd recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading realistic fiction. It is a love story, but it's unlike any that I've ever read before. I'd recommend this to females more than males, but if you're a guy who's yearning for a little nerdy love story reading, go right ahead! Ladies, if you don't fall in love with Lincoln... well, you need to make sure you have emotions. He is definitely swoon-worthy with his nerdy leather jackets and D&D addiction.
Anyway, I loved this book. If you love realistic characters (who doesn't?) and a nice love story, this is the book for you.
I love it. I love it so much.
